MAC Velvet Teddy & All Fired Up

If you’re looking for a fiercely feminine lipstick or the perfect ‘my lips but better’ shade, stop searching! I found two beautiful MAC lipsticks in the colours All Fired Up and Velvet Teddy, and today I’m going to show you some swatches of these beauties! Let’s take a closer look…


Beide lippenstiften hebben een matte finish, maar All Fired up is iets droger omdat dit een Retro Matte kleur is. Lippenstiften uit de Retro Matte collectie brengen wat stroever aan, maar de kleuren dekken wel gewoon goed en beide kleuren blijven ook vrij lang op je lippen zitten.

Velvet Teddy and All Fired Up are both lipsticks with a matte finish, but All Fired Up can be a little drying because this is a lipstick from the MAC Matte Retro collection. But the coverage of both lipsticks are great and they stay on really well. 


All Fired Up

All Fired Up is een fuchsia/rode lippenstift en heeft een matte finish. Omdat deze kleur dus wat droger is, is het verstandig om je lippen eerst goed te beschermen voordat je deze lippenstift aanbrengt. Ik heb ervoor gekozen om de Prep + Prime lip base van MAC aan te brengen, en ik moet zeggen dat het echt werkt. Je lippen worden minder snel droog en ik heb het gevoel dat de lippenstift ook iets langer blijft zitten met deze lip base eronder.

All Fired Up is a fuchsia/red lipstick with a matte finish. Make sure you use a lip balm of lip base before you apply this lipstick, because the matte texture tends to dry out the lips. I always use the MAC Prep + Prime lip base to protect and moisturize my lips. This is not a cheap primer but it’s definitely worth the money. Whenever I use this primer, I get the feeling like it makes my lipstick last longer. I love that! (who doesn’t?)


Velvet Teddy

Velvet Teddy is ook een matte lippenstift, maar op de lippen voelt hij wel creamy aan. Dit vind ik een groot pluspunt, aangezien mijn lippen snel uitdrogen en ik een hekel heb aan dat stroeve gevoel op je lippen! De kleur vind ik echt prachtig, ik ben al lang op zoek naar een mooie beige lippenstift die niet te roze of te bruin is, en ik denk dat dit toch aardig dicht in de buurt komt van de perfecte ‘my lips but better’ kleur!

Velvet Teddy is a matte lipstick, but it feels creamy on the lips. Unlike other matte lipsticks, Velvet Teddy really keeps your lips hydrated and it lasts for 4-5 hours. I absolutely love this colour, I was searching for a beige lipstick for a long time, but most colours were too pink or too brown. And I personally think that Velvet Teddy is the perfect ‘my lips but better’ shade!
